
CD14 SWEEP UPDATE

On Friday (11/12/21), Los Angeles City Council voted on and passed another LAMC 41.18 resolution put forward by Councilmember Kevin De Leon.
According to this resolution, the following is banned:
It is illegal to sit, lie, sleep, or store, use, maintain, or place personal property within:
1000ft: Facility providing shelter, safe sleeping, safe parking, or serving as a homeless services navigation center.
500ft: Other locations (school, park, tunnel, underpass, bridge, active railway, etc.)
This means that LA Sanitation and LAPD may carry out a sweep at any time in the following areas, 14 days after installation of permanent (metal) notices: If you see any of these notices please call or text JAS at (213) 375-5784.
Additionally, the City can also enforce, at any time, sitting, lying, or sleeping, or storing, using, maintaining, or placing personal property:
Within 10 feet of an operational loading dock or driveway
Within 5 feet of an operational building entrance or exit
Within 2 feet of a fire hydrant or fire plug Interfering with any city-permitted activity (ex: filming, events) Anywhere in a street, including bike paths
